Description:We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to lead our Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Pharmacy Service.This will be a rewarding position where the post holder will have a major role in the development and long-term planning of the Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Pharmacy Service in HHSCP. The post holder will be a clinical practitioner with extensive specialist mental health clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience, provide line management and professional leadership for the delivery of quality, innovative and sustainable mental health pharmacy input to a range of services across the HSCP area, with a focus on multi-professional working.The post holder will join an established pharmacy team to advance clinical services in line with local and national strategy and to develop the pharmacy team through education and training and development of skill mix. They will represent pharmacy and NHS Highland on local and national committees and working groups.We are looking for someone who:

This post requires experience of management/leadership, excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and good IT skills.The post holder will have a Masters degree in Pharmacy, or equivalent, and be on the practising register of the General Pharmaceutical Council. They will have significant post-registration experience, a relevant postgraduate qualification in pharmacy practice such as a certificate or diploma in Psychiatric Pharmacy and be an independent pharmacist prescriber. NHS Highland is committed to the professional development of its staff and there will be further training and education opportunities.The post is based at New Craigs Hospital, Inverness.
