You will join CSE La Spezia, which is the leading provider of Communications and Information System (CIS) products and services to locally based NATO entities such as the Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE), part of NATO’s Science and Technology (S&T) organization. CSE La Spezia enables end-to-end CIS services and manages critical technological capabilities during peacetime, crisis and war.We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Principal Technician (ICT Systems Operations, Administration and Maintenance) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Defines the software modules needed for an integration build and produces a build definition for each generation of the software.
  • Installs or removes hardware and/or software, using supplied installation instructions and tools, including handover to the client.
  • Monitors compliance against agreed processes and investigates, assesses and resolves incidents of non-compliance, escalating where necessary.
  • Grants users required physical accesses and monitors and reports on overall access control.
  • Assists in the design of hardware platforms; considers cost, performance, tools and operation systems.
  • Participates in the installation of hardware platforms to ensure the effective delivery of IT services.

  • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post-related experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience providing functioning support of hardware, software, networks and computers in large organizations.
  • Hands-on experience monitoring system performance.
  • Practical experience detecting and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Relevant good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • ITIL Certification.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
