The Role:

 

Reporting to the Head of Partnership Development, the post holder will be responsible for managing and maximising our partnership with global multinational company Unilever to deliver impact for Oxfam’s mission. The position is responsible for delivering commitments across programmatic, advisory, influencing and wider engagement activities within this partnership and exploring new opportunities for collaboration and uplifting income, impact and influencing. The role is also responsible for delivering excellent relationship management and managing an internal partnership working group.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

 

  • A commitment and drive to forge strong relationships with the private sector that have demonstrable impact on poverty and inequality.
  • Significant experience in co-creating and managing multiple large projects/ relationships/ stakeholders to a high level.
  • Brokering, partnering and facilitation skills to enable co-creation and greater collaboration across thematic, sectoral and geographic boundaries, with the ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  • A proactive, creative, and strategic thinker, highly adaptable to different working styles – e.g. big-picture thinking/detail-oriented, collaborative/can work independently.
  • Ability to drive forward complex initiatives across a large global organisation to deliver on targets.
  • A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire supporters, colleagues and peers.
  • Superb written communication skills with the ability to address complex issues and produce clear and persuasive proposals and reports. 
  • Negotiation and relationship building skills, including listening, questioning, building rapport and understanding the needs and values of individuals and organisations.  
  • Broad knowledge of corporate sustainability and/or international development issues, with a strong desire to learn more about/specialise in business and human rights.
