Our campus is based in beautiful bucolic surroundings near Venice and Treviso. It is a vibrant campus that caters to both day and boarding students and which is constantly seeking to improve its already world-class facilities.We are currently looking for an exceptional Probability Professor. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as applications will be processed on a rolling basis. You will teach in the STEM Department and to our students enrolled in the first year of our Bachelor’s Degrees.We are looking for passionate professors who give their students hope for the future and can help them grow and be better than their previous best.Indicative module content

• Introduction to probability: sample spaces, events, probability axioms
• Conditional probability: Bayes’ theorem, independence, total probability theorem
• Random variables: discrete random variables, probability mass function, cumulative distribution function
• Expectation and variance: properties, conditional expectation, covariance
• Joint probability: joint probability mass function, marginal probability, conditional probability
• Distribution functions: binomial, Poisson, hypergeometric, geometric, and negative binomial, Gaussian
• Probability models: discrete probability distributions, applications to statistical inference
• Stochastic methods: Markov chains, random graphs

Qualifications Requested

• A relevant master’s degree or Phd qualification (eg: Statistics, Mathematics, or another related field from an accredited, state-approved programme).
• Resident in Italy – Right to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work VISA).
• Immaculate police check(s).
• Fluent English: reading, speaking, writing (Common European Framework of Reference – CEFR level C1-C2).

• A minimum of two years of recent and relevant experience in a university environment.
• Relevant teaching experience within the subject area(s)
• Evaluate and provide regular feedback on students’ exercises, projects and examinations.
• Specialist skills & knowledge.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver innovative inquiry-based lessons that engage students and address their diverse learning needs.
• Demonstrated ability to use digital tools and resources effectively to enhance learning.
• Planning and organisational skills.
