Make your mark for patients

We’re seeking a Procurement Lead to play a pivotal role in managing raw material supply, optimizing supplier relationships, and enhancing supply chain processes at our Manufacturing site, in Braine l’Alleud.

 
About the role
 

The primary purpose of this role is threefold:

-To manage Raw material supply for our Manufacturing site in collaboration with our Planning team
-To ensure the relationship with our suppliers and solve quality issue with them.
-To support and lead project to improve our Supply Chain processes and optimize the lifecycle of our products.
 
Who will you work with?
 

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Global Supply Chain, QA, QC, Global Procurement, IT, Finance, and Manufacturing, as well as engage with external stakeholders including suppliers and other UCB sites.

 
What will you do?
 

Operational:

-Purchase orders management from Purchase requisition analysis to invoicing validation. This includes PO creation, PO release, Supplier confirmation tracking, Custom clearance, goods receipts, and invoice validations.
-Master data’s Validation and Maintenance (Supplier information, lead times, lot size … ) in collaboration with Genpact. – Support to our Master and Detailed Schedulers to maintain our stocks – to plan the incoming material with our Warehouse team.
-Management of Supplier quality investigations, deviations, change notifications and CAPA in collaboration with our stakeholders (WHS, QC, Manufacturing, QA) in Trackwise and Source.
-Manage supplier relationships and solve procurement issues/crisis with adequate response plan.
-Coordination of Business Review Meeting/Supplier Review Meeting with Global Procurement.
-Monitor the operational situation thanks to adequate KPIs (OTIF, late investigation, MRP items, item stock coverage).
 

Compliance :

-Participation in Procurement process review.
-Maintain Training plan within deadline.
-Respect GXP norms and processes.
-Creation and follow up of Change controls linked with Procurement.
 

HSE :

-Safety first, respect of HSE requirement, ensure HSE process and avoid dangerous situation.
-Make Green a way of working, suggest/participate/lead project/smarterways to improve our green impact.
-Coaching newcomers.
 

Project :

-Support and lead Global Supply transformation projects, BTO projects, Dual sourcing/Resourcing projects.
-Organize Project reviews, ensure adequate communication to stakeholders and delivering project per milestone.
 

Interested? For this position, you’ll need the following education, experience, and skills:

Education & Qualification:

-Bachelor’s Degree
-Purchasing/negotiation accreditation
 

Competencies:

-At least 2 – 5 years of procurement experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
-Project management skills with a transversal approach.
-SAP proficiency, especially in procurement flows (MM module as a minimum requirement, other modules as a plus).
-Comprehensive understanding of supply chain dynamics.
-Strong procurement skills including negotiation and replenishment models.
-Proficient in reporting & office tools with a proactive problem-solving approach.
-Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
-Fluent in French and English.
