The Role:

 

Oxfam OGB is looking for a Product Owner (EPOS) who will lead a team of specialist through implementing IS strategies and policies that include building relationships with external organisations and strong project delivery experience. Some key responsibilities would include:

  • Being a subject matter expert on retail EPOS systems, integrations and processes
  • BAU system support admin and support monitoring – provides and monitors EPOS BAU support along with two EPOS system administrators
  • Gather and analyse customer feedback, market trends, and stakeholder input to identify and prioritize product requirement

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

 

  • Proven experience working as a Product Owner or similar role in software development, specifically with tills or point-of-sale (POS) software.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and analyse data to make informed product decisions.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to prioritise, proactive with the drive to achieve results.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to provide tailored advice and support to others.
  • Ability to convey complex ideas in a straightforward and accessible way to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • The experience and skills to be a key stakeholder in projects involving Oxfam’s EPOS system, providing operational knowledge and support to ensure project implementation.
  • Experience of supplier relationship management.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and tools

 

Desirable experience would  include:

  • Understanding of charity shops and associated ways of working.
  • Understanding of EPOS systems in Charity context.
  • Experience with project management and product management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar
