The Olympic Channel was launched in August 2016 in support of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)’s goal, set out in Olympic Agenda 2020, of providing a new way to engage younger generations, fans and new audiences with the Olympic Movement.About The DepartmentOlympic Channel Services (OCS) are looking for a talented and experienced Production Manager to join their diverse and experienced Sports Production Team. As a team, we focus on Live Productions as well as all strands of long and short-form programming. As Production Manager, you will be an integral part of the team helping support the production of all things Video-on-Demand and Live.Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for the daily production management of all Broadcast and Production Projects both in between and during Olympic Games, both Summer and Winter.The role is currently a full time temporary position and will work closely with the Senior Production Manager and Production Coordinator, Senior and Live Producers as well as various internal departments, stakeholders and vendors to ensure all projects are delivered on time and on budget.Duties & Responsibilities
- Booking of Freelancers and Production Crews for on-site productions including organisation of all logistics involved including contracts, travel, ATA carnets, Call Sheets and filming permissions.
- Source, book and onboard Commentators – this includes liaising with talent and crewing.
- Prepare and manage budgets including raising purchase orders and working closely with the Finance team.
- Production Manage Live Event transmissions with various international stakeholders to ensure a smooth editorial and technical delivery of all incoming and outgoing feeds.
- Work closely with the Senior Producers and Resources team to optimise internal resources while ensuring the production standard and philosophy of any project is adhered to.
- Edit, assess and distribute rundowns where applicable.
- Liaising with and maintain good relationships with external production and technical providers for small and larger live productions and host broadcasts worldwide.
- Co-ordinate Talent sourcing with the OCS Talent booker for all Live Shows and all interviews.
- Coordinate Graphics Requirements with the Graphic Team for Live and Post-production programming.
- Floor managing in-house productions when needed.
- Liaise closely with the Resources team to ensure a smooth delivery of all transmissions and optimisation of resources.
- Ensure that all edit bookings for post-production projects are properly logged and detailed along with all other projects in ScheduAll.
- Daily Coordination with internal programming and editorial teams aligning on publishing dates of all final features/programming including creation of descriptions and thumbnails in coordination with the Producers.
- Olympics Games planning and coordination across all teams including staffing, content production, freelance on-boarding, transportation and logistics.
- Coordinate all Music and Footage Rights Documentation with Legal and Archive Services.
Skills, Requirements & Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- Must have experience in Production Management.
- Extensive experience in managing Live Productions in both Studio and Gallery as well as on-site Large Outside Broadcast Sporting Events.
- Must be able to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Adept in budgets and management thereof for small to large scale productions.
- Fluency in English both spoken and written a must – additional languages a bonus.
- A good understanding of editorial production.
- Extensive on-site and in-field production experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams & Slack. Experience in ScheduAll a plus.
- Experience with Editing Systems such as Avid and Premiere an advantage.

- This is a temporary, full-time position based in our offices in Madrid.
- On-call on certain weekends according to department rota.
- Remote work up to 30% per quarter.
- Willingness to travel when required and on short notice (up to 15%).
