About the Role

Programme Manager to deliver a range of exciting and innovative technology programmes and projects.

IT Programme Manager will have end-to-end responsibility of the programme, from shaping the approach to achieving the desired outcomes through to delivery.

This role may also be required to assist, guide and mentor Senior Managers to co-ordinate their own departments projects by providing subject matter expertise including risk, issue and change management, financial tracking, planning, reporting and governance as required.

About You

The post-holder will be keen individual and love to learn and be challenged. They should have a positive and creative problem-solving mentality and approach to their work. They will be supporting Assistant Director of Change Delivery and Project Managers by taking the lead in the development of the overall approach for the programme, its major time frames and the definition of its major deliverables to address and meet the desired goals and outcomes.

The successful candidate will be expected to build relationships across a wide stakeholder community and business partners. They will be highly motivated and organised to ensure the projects are delivered to the highest quality and delivering true benefit to the organisation.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, planning and leadership skills. They will be innovative and have experience working with industry standard project and programme management tools and methodologies.

About the Department

IT Services is a key enabler to the successful fulfilment of Queen Mary’s strategic goals of excellence in research, and teaching and learning. Our services support students and colleagues and range from email and internet access, to state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities, business application software and high-performance computing in support of research.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time, permanent appointment, with an immediate start date. The starting salary will be Grade 7, in the range of £61,896 – £69,114 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.  Additional market supplement is available subject to experience.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
