Empowering Women Through Civil Society Actors in Bangladesh (EWCSA) project team works to empower marginalised women working in informal and marginalised occupations in Bangladesh, to influence governance and development processes.
Do you have at least 7 years of substantial experience in project management within development contexts?
Do you have experience in working in empowering marginalized women working in informal and marginalized occupations in Bangladesh?
Do you have experience in ensuring community participation that shapes programme decisions, and actively seeking a partnership approach?
Do you have experience in managing the project implemention in a consultative, participative, and gender-responsive way?

The Role:
The Programme Manager (PM) oversees the anticipatory project including financial management, ensuring compliances are met and effective coordination with the thematic heads.
- To promote safe programming along with other sector leads, advisors, and managers
- To be accountable for ensuring community participation shapes programme decisions, actively seek a partnership approach, and work following feminist principles including a strong awareness of power dynamics.
What we are looking for:
We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam’s mission to end poverty and is personally aligned with our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability, and inclusion in all you do.
An ideal candidate for the role will also be/have:
- Masters in humanitarian/ development studies, or business administration, management, or the social sciences.
- Substantial experience in project management within development contexts, spanning at least 7 years.
- Demonstrated track record in effectively managing complex programs, encompassing budgeting, team leadership, and financial oversight, with a commitment to community engagement and gender equity.
- Proven ability to work creatively, innovatively, and effectively with limited direct supervision.
- Proven experience as a team worker and demonstrably cooperative with members of other teams.
- To be familiar with and abide by the NGO/Red Cross Code of Conduct, the People in Aid Code, Oxfam International procedures, and other regulatory codes (e.g. InterAction Field Co-operation Protocol).
