The Student Experience Programme (SEP) is one of the biggest change projects our University has undertaken. It will make things better for students and simpler for staff by introducing improved processes and procedures, supported by the new My Manchester and upgraded IT systems including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Campus Solutions 9.2.
Working on the SEP within the Directorate for the Student Experience, the Project Administrator will play a pivotal role in providing support for the delivery of key elements of the project.
As a member of the Business Delivery Team, you will work alongside a number of Project Administrators to support Product Owners (POs) and workstream Implementation Teams in the planning, preparation and execution of business readiness activities relating to the release of the new systems and business processes across the institution.
You will be assigned to one or more workstreams and, will work closely with the Product Owners for that workstream –senior colleague who are usually the business owners for that area of work within the institution – providing them with administrative support and helping to ensure that the implementation teams can operate efficiently and effectively to deliver activities on schedule. As a member of the Business Delivery team you will act as a point of liaison and communication between the implementation team/s and the wider project, and as such you will monitor and report on the teams’ progress against key milestones. You will also liaise with colleagues across the University as required, to acquire information or other input required to facilitate the ongoing work of the implementation teams.
You will have previous knowledge and experience of student administration within the Higher Education sector. With good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to work accurately and flexibly as part of a team. You must be able to prioritise a variety of work activities in a busy environment to meet strict deadlines, to work positively and professionally with colleagues at all levels, and to use your own initiative to resolve issues for the team.
