Join us.Job DescriptionAs a Project Director, you will lead the delivery of the Shell Mobility Benelux CAPEX and OPEX programme, providing EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) and FMC (Maintenance) services. You will also contribute to the growth of AECOM Benelux by expanding relationships with Shell and collaborating with AECOM’s management team.Key ResponsibilitiesProject and Program Delivery
- Ultimate responsibility for project, program, and maintenance delivery.
- Establish clear planning and project definition strategies.
- Direct project teams and manage resources to meet client expectations and profitability targets.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Lead continuous improvement in operations and foster innovation.
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the focal point for client relationships.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, designers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Represent AECOM to potential clients and partners.
Team Leadership and Performance
- Enhance team performance through leadership.
- Promote HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) strategy.
- Monitor and report on team performance.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure compliance with AECOM Policy and Health and Safety Management Systems.
- Drive efficiencies and streamline processes.
- Support procurement activities with technical input.
Business Development
- Generate new business with existing and new clients.
- Advise on trends and developments in the construction market.
- Support the development of the strategy for Benelux.
FMC Specific Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and technical oversight to FMC project activities.
- Manage the Shell OPEX budget efficiently.
- Oversee contract packages and ensure successful delivery of FMC KPIs.
HSSE and Compliance
- Lead HSSE strategy compliance.
- Ensure FMC compliance with all legal requirements.
Collaboration and Networking
- Engage with other Benelux Project Directors and teams.
- Foster collaboration with other AECOM Business Lines.
EPCM Role/Responsibility
- Manage EPCM call-off Contracts and ensure contract compliance.
- Execute the EPCM Commercial Strategy.
- Deliver Benelux’ EPCM Capex and program.
Project-Specific Experience
- Proven experience in leading large-scale EPCM and FMC projects.
- Strong track record in managing complex projects and risks.
- Expertise in contract management and driving innovation.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
- Proven leadership skills and financial acumen.
- Commitment to safety, sustainability, and legal obligations.
- 10+ years in industry.
