For this role you will support multiple departments by overseeing project implementation from start to finish, including scoping, design, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, construction, safety, and project close-out, all under the guidance of the Single Point of Contact (SPOC).
Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to meet project goals while fostering a high-performing technical team.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, quality, EHS, procurement, and IT.
• Oversee external partners, including design firms, engineering partners, equipment suppliers, and contractors.
• Apply knowledge of capital project phases to plan and execute tasks at each stage.
• Identify innovative improvements in facility, equipment, and controls design to ensure operational excellence.
• Ensure construction safety and an injury-free workplace through the application of safety principles.
• Manage procurement processes, participate in vendor selection, and ensure contract compliance from start to finish.
• Conduct studies using Capital Management Process and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methods, offering consulting for ongoing projects and operations.
• Optimize facility design and construction by applying scientific, engineering, regulatory, and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a relevant technical field (PE, MS, MBA, Ph.D. preferred).
• 10-15+ years in high-tech engineering or construction, managing capital investment projects.
• Preferred experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech (GMP) environment.
• Proven track record in delivering projects on time, within budget, meeting safety and quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch preferred.
