THIS ROLE CAN BE BASED IN MILAN, MADRID, LONDON, PARIS, DUSSELDORF

Purpose

Be part of the HEMA RWE team to

participate in the development of RWE strategic initiatives and lead the execution of specific programs across BSC EMEA divisions or functions in collaboration with cross functional teams, vendors and customers:

-Contribute to build RWE capabilities in EMEA
-Project management and ownership of key RWE projects deliverables
-Execution of RWE projects
-Internal and external stakeholders’ management
-Communication and cross-functional cooperation
 

Responsibilities

RWE Study Design and Execution:

-Plan, organize, and lead the activities for the set up and execution of RWE projects
-Monitor and report on the progress of projects, which includes resources needs, timelines, deliverables
-Create a plan for operational management of real-world studies, e.g. define milestones and ensure timely deliverables including final report and/or publication
-Attain project’s goals by working with cross functional teams, outline priorities, and resolve challenges
-Work cross functionally with EMEA teams including HEMA, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Commercial teams and others as needed
-Organize project related meetings and divisional RWE workshops
-Responsible for the preparation and review of all documents related to projects, which include contracts, vendor budgets, study documents
-Responsible for ensuring the projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality
-Ensure close and effective communication on study progress (timelines, decisions, updates and alignment of expectations) with the core team, vendors, HCPs
-Provide regular progress updates to senior leadership
-Implement and use project management tools, e.g. communication plan and risk management plan
-Share learning and best practice to drive continuous improvement of RWE function

Regulatory Compliance:

-Responsible to comply to RWE and data source management/analysis regulations which may vary between countries
-Coordinate timely communication with affiliates and other relevant stakeholders
-Ensure appropriate institutional and regulatory approvals are in place for the RWE studies
-Ensure RWE studies are documented and conducted in line with BSC procedures
 

Data Management:

-Oversee data is gathered in a very structured way with predefined data points
-Ensure data fit study purpose
-Ensure data quality and integrity
 

Communication and stakeholders’ management :

-Coordinate with a variety of stakeholders internally and externally (e.g. HCPs, vendors)
-Vendor selection and management
-In charge of the management of all aspects of the projects and the selection of vendors so as to guarantee non-breaching of contract, procedures, and data integrity. Answerable to questions and issues brought up by vendors and external consultants
-Responsible for overall contract management, including review and approval of external service provider contracts, change orders and ensures services are delivered per contract
-Acts as the primary contact for vendors and leads planning and communication with diverse project teams to make sure the RWE studies are conducted and executed effectively
-PO creation, review and approve invoices being presented by vendors and external consultants

Prerequisites

 and competencies:

-Scientific background with solid expertise in project management
-A Bachelor’s and/or a Master’s degree in science, business, medicine or equivalent degree
-A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of outcomes research as project lead. Experience in RWE is highly considered
-This role requires a high degree of flexibility and the ability to adjust study plans and analysis methods as new data becomes available
-Strong team player with excellent communication skills : ability to effectively convey messages across to both internal stakeholders and other external persons like vendors, external consultants, HCPs
-Good problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills are highly required
-Ability to work with little or no supervision
-Ability to pay keen attention to detail at all times
-Must be able to work within stipulated timeframes or deadlines even in the face of multiple responsibilities or projects
-Ability to organize and motivate project team members
-Experience with RWE study procedures and other guidance document is a plus
-Project Management or equivalent (PMI certification) is desirable
-Strength in planning, analysis, decision-making, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
-Must be able to lead through influence in a matrixed environment
-Generate and champion new ideas and approaches
-Fluent in spoken and written English
-Willingness to travel up to 30%
