Applications are invited for the post of Public Engagement Manager in the External Communications team within the Marketing and Communications Directorate. 

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced communications professional to join the External Communications team as a Public Engagement Manager. This is an exciting new role and you will be at the forefront of producing and implementing the University’s overarching public engagement strategy. This will involve building strong relationships with key local stakeholders and you will develop innovative ways for people to engage with the work of the University and the benefits this can bring to the community.

The Public Engagement Manager will be responsible for developing a communications network across the University to develop a proactive and co-ordinated approach to communications and engagement with the general public and key stakeholders. 

To be successful in this role you will be an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels. The post holder will work with a relatively high degree of autonomy and therefore carry a high level of accountability for the quality and professionalism of the service that they provide. As a motivated and confident self-starter, you should possess outstanding organisational skills and have great attention to detail.

Public engagement 0r community liaison experience is essential and you should have excellent communications skills gained from working in a communications or engagement team. You should also have the ability to navigate large organisations and confidently build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the University is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
