Job Description Purchasing Manager , Alcea

Summary of the role

Alcea was integrated into ASSA ABLOY Critical Infrastructure Business Area a year ago. We are now looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager who will be responsible for all purchasing activities. The candidate will have a strong ability to work as part of a team.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Monitoring and Steering :

  • To act as a point of reference for all the company’s purchases (stock, workshop parts and consumables, overheads, excluding equipment investment).
  • To be the business reference for CSR purchasing processes, to ensure that they are used correctly and to contribute to improvement projects, taking into account the development needs of users.
  • Contribute to the optimisation of purchasing processes and manage them.
  • Implementing and monitoring business KPIs (stock levels, supplier evaluation, etc.).
  • Monitoring and optimising the purchasing budget in collaboration with the management controller.
  • Working closely on a daily basis with the Group’s teams.
  • Helping to optimise and manage purchasing processes.

Supplier management :

  • Look for sources of cost reduction and favourable purchasing conditions (prospecting, competitive tendering, supplier/trade show visits, etc.).
  • Negotiate agreements with certain suppliers and/or service providers.
  • Validating or renegotiating a listing.
  • Intervene in the event of a dispute with a supplier.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required

  • Strong experience of purchasing processes.
  • Ability to develop and analyse performance indicators.
  • Team spirit and excellent communication skills.
  • Thoroughness.
  • Ability to adapt and react quickly.
  • Ability to make proposals.
  • self-motivated.
  • Pedagogical skills.
  • Fluent English essential.
