What is the job about?The job of a Purchasing Specialist, who reports directly to the Purchasing Manager, involves ensuring high customer satisfaction for Group Purchasing as a business partner for local stakeholders in our Sales Companies, conducting value-based sourcing across various categories, and continuously optimizing operational excellence, innovation, and sustainability from suppliers. Additionally, the role includes total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization within the industry/categories, managing the company’s local end-to-end sourcing operations and activities, and supporting relevant functions to enhance supplier performance.Your main responsibilities:Strategic Sourcing Process related activities:

  • Support the implementation of regional sourcing strategy to specifically support local business needs and roadmap
  • Support / participate in sourcing initiatives across the Region in alignment with the regional sourcing strategy
  • Provide local insight into supply market and local business requirements.
  • Implementation of best practises, compliance with purchasing processes and tools
  • Responsible for value & savings vs. Cost avoidance delivery for the spend in scope
  • Optimize suppliers’ portfolio
  • Lead local negotiations/tendering/E-auction process
  • Ensure favorable and compliant contracts closure implementation and management
  • Act as a Business Partner for the local business stakeholders

Ensure foundation for Supplier Relationship Management, data transparency and reporting abilities for indirect suppliers, including but not limited to:

  • Facilitation of business reviews
  • Definition and maintenance of preferred suppliers lists.
  • Suppliers’ performance assessment and development.
  • Savings, cost avoidance, spend per net sales.
  • Days Payable outstanding.
  • Value creation beyond price through proactive development of spend management, supplier portfolio and performance, quality, sustainability, partnership and innovation.
  • Supplier performance assessed against Grundfos key business requirements.
  • Contracts management with external suppliers in compliance with Group policies, standards and requirements on sustainability, ethics and Grundfos values.

Your background:We imagine that you have:

  • Relevant commercial/technical education
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience within sourcing in a global organization for the specific category
  • Good communication skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking.
  • Result- and action oriented
  • Proficiency in both English and French
  • Expected travel is approximately 10%
