Job description
The RolePE Global are recruiting for a Renewable Electricity Senior Specialist for our Energy client based in Dublin CC. This is an 18-month contract role. Hybrid working options.Job ResponsibilitiesSupporting communication and consultation activities for a study underpinning the development of a net zero electricity system pathway.
- Coordinating the collation of data and executing and commissioning research to inform an evaluation of the impact of community measures within the Renewable Electricity Support Scheme.
- Contributing to coordinating internal and external research activities relating to the above responsibilities.
- Communicating results to key audiences including Government and public bodies via a range of available channels and, where necessary, convene focused stakeholder groups to obtain necessary input to projects.
- Preparing, or oversee consultants in preparing, internal, policy makers’ and external reports, to the appropriate level of messaging.
- Liaising with national and international researchers and experts to ascertain best practices in multi-criteria analysis/decision making supporting electricity system transformation.
- Liaising with the relevant research community and support the RD&D team by providing renewable electricity expertise informing on research gaps.
- Lead the development and execution of electricity sector policy through commissioning research and expert analysis, via public procurement processes
Education and Experience
- A third-level degree in a field relevant to the transformation of the electricity sector to establish it on a trajectory towards zero carbon emissions, including Engineering, the Humanities or Economics.
- A minimum of five years’ work experience a field related to implementing Government renewable electricity policy, where time spent pursuing a Masters-by-research, or a PhD, are countable towards work experience.
- Experience of the application of multi-criteria analysis/decision-making as applied to mitigating the climate impacts of power generation.
- Insight of socio-economic impact analysis as applied to the impact of renewable energy developments and associated community schemes, upon their host communities.
- Insight of multi-criteria decision making as applied to analysing and planning the transformation of the electricity system to use high levels of renewable energy and other zero emissions power generation, while maintaining public support.
- Demonstrated strong project management skills.
- Excellent presentation skills and experience of presenting in public
- Good communications skills with wide ranging stakeholders.
