Overview
About the Role
Following a recent restructure and expansion of our Education Services team, we are looking for a Quality Manager. This new post will lead the quality team in providing expert curriculum management and will lead on the administration of quality assurance processes within the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences. Collaborating with the Director of Education, lead academics and other key staff, the postholder will ensure that the highest standards are maintained and evidenced. You will be responsible for all administrative processes that support the school’s examination boards as well as leading quality assurance reviews of teaching and learning.
About You
You should have considerable experience of student administration within a Higher Education environment. Demonstrable experience of quality assurance processes and reviews, managing a team and a detailed understanding of academic regulations is also essential. You will have good problem solving and analytical skills and be highly numerate and confident with data and its analysis and interpretation for audiences of varying knowledge and understanding. Experience of supporting examination boards is desirable.

The School of Biological & Behavioural Sciences (SBBS) is one of five Schools in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. It is one of the largest Schools at Queen Mary University of London, with approximately 1800 students and over 100 academic staff members, who carry out excellent education, research and public engagement activities, with support from 29 administrative staff and 26 technical staff.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £42,405 – £49,785 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
