We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor based in Leinster.With over 50 years of success, they specialise in civil engineering and groundworks for medium to large-scale commercial projects. Known for delivering prestigious and challenging contracts, they offer a collaborative and supportive working environment, with an excellent reputation for staff retention.The Role: As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll have the opportunity to work on multi-million euro civil engineering projects, playing a key role from site commencement to final account stage. This is a fantastic chance to showcase your skills, drive results, and make a real impact.You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing civil engineering and groundworks projects, including contract administration, re-measures, managing variations, and submitting valuations.
  • Negotiating and agreeing on interim payments with clients and subcontractors.
  • Preparing detailed monthly contract review reports.
  • Tendering for new contracts using the company’s in-house tendering system and rates.
  • Building and managing a competitive and reliable supply chain network.

  • Qualifications: Degree in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in civil engineering and groundworks.
  • Proven experience managing similar responsibilities on previous projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and other construction software.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Must be a European citizen and eligible to work without a permit.
