Tier 1 ContractorOptimize is thrilled to collaborate with a construction contractor known for consistently delivering exceptional quality service, accompanied by a steadfast commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a major civil’s project.
The role will be based fully on-site initially.The successful candidate will have acquired, and can display the following:
- Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management.
- 3+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor on construction projects.
- Effective on large-scale sites, managing sub-contractors.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and client representatives.
- Strong time management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Solid understanding of the construction industry and on-site operations.
Responsibilities of this role will include:
- Advising on contractual matters – general and project level.
- Processing contractual claims and maintaining records.
- Identifying revenue opportunities, reducing costs, investigating losses.
- Assisting in project cash management.
- Providing guidance and support for project correspondence.
- Negotiating subcontract and supplier prices and terms.
