RINA is currently recruiting for a R&D Business Support Advisor to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Consulting Planning, Monitoring & Business Support Division.MissionThe R&D Financial Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial planning, analysis, and management of research and development projects within the engineering company. They role ensures that R&D initiatives align with RINA financial goals and contribute to innovation and growth.Key AccountabilitiesFinancial Planning and Budgeting:
– Define the project budget structure, check of the compliance of the project budget during the proposal phase with the Programme Financial Rules
– Ensure that the project actual expenditure are in line with the budget and timing is correctly reported and submitted to the required standard and deadlines
Business Proposal and Support:
– Support in the administrative and financial coordination and participation in EC funded proposals and Italian national/regional schemes, in collaboration with the technical project manager
– Ensure proposals are prepared, initially assessed and submitted to the required standard and deadlines
– Support to the consortium for the administrative and financial issues related to the project management
– Update the proposal and project support tools
Collaboration:
– Work closely with R&D teams and project managers to provide financial guidance, support, and accountability throughout project lifecycles
– Liaise with suitable industrial and academic partners to gather information for submission of research proposals
– Maintain contacts with the partners forming the consortium.#LI-AU5EducationMaster’s Degree in EconomicsExperience & Qualifications– From 1 to 3 years of experience in financial management, preferably in an R&D or project-based environment.– Experience managing finances for research and development projects, including familiarity with grant funding, project accounting, and financial reporting specific to R&D initiatives.– Strong skills in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support R&D initiatives. This includes the ability to create financial models and conduct variance analysis.– Proficiency in developing and managing budgets for R&D projects. This includes creating budget proposals, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring financial goals align with project objectives.Competencies
