For one of our international clients, we are looking for a R&D engineer – capacitors – mechanical design.Responsabilities:

• Develop the next generation of capacitors focusing on the mechanical design
• Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly and Design for serviceability
• 3D CAD modelling of film capacitors – SolidWorks or Creo
• Lead R&D project or work-package, with structured and target-oriented working style
• Lead and participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
• Design experimental set-ups, conduct tests and analyze test results, possibly including electromechanical modelling
• Work with a global R&D team ensuring a knowledge sharing, timely and high-quality deliverables
• Close collaboration with our Power Grids Research organization and with academia
• Create ideas and proposals for new R&D projects
• Effectively communicate with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and other external partners
• Document results in the form of technical reports, presentations, IP, etc

Profile:

• Master or PhD in mechanical engineering, with a specialisation in mechanical design.
• Experience in mechanical design of Film Capacitors or HV products is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of DFM, DFA and DFS.
• Experience conducting FMEA
• Experience using Creo or SolidWorks
• Excellent analytical skills and conducting search experiments
• able to work in all technical areas involved in the product, materials, insulation systems, thermal management, multiphysic integration.
