The candidate will be part of the R&D Hazelnuts, Peanuts&Fruit Research team as R&D Raw Materials Research specialist.Main Responsibilities:In this role, the candidate will collaborate closely with the direct supervisor while taking an active role in establishing and managing partnerships with internal functions (quality, product development, laboratories), external companies and scientific institutions, including universities, research centers, and laboratories. With a proactive and autonomous approach, the candidate will analyze experimental data, scientific literature, and patents to support strategic R&D initiatives.
A key responsibility will be ensuring that research outcomes are effectively translated into business applications, maximizing their impact. The candidate will contribute to the design of tailored research studies aligned with strategic R&D priorities and will take full responsibility for the management and/or execution of ongoing or newly activated R&D projects, ensuring their timely execution and the delivery of reliable results. Effective and structured reporting will be essential, keeping senior management and key stakeholders (DTCs, HCo, OI) informed on project progress and key findings.
Additionally, the candidate will play an important role in defining, updating, and continuously improving raw material quality specifications within the supply chain, reinforcing the Ferrero’s commitment to innovation and excellence.Who we are looking for:The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biotechnology, Food Science/Technology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy). Experience in project management is considered a plus and PhD is highly valued.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and teamwork skills are essential for this role, along with an open and effective communication style. The candidate should demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to integrate within a dynamic organization while building strong professional networks.
A high level of fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required. The candidate should also have extensive knowledge of bio-analytical methods and data analysis approaches, with expertise in advanced statistical tools such as MATLAB or R being preferred. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is essential, while familiarity with SAP/DEVEX platforms is considered a plus.
This role may require occasional business travel.
