Job Purpose

The Recruiter is responsible for carrying out recruitment activities to support staffing at all levels within EnerSys. The incumbent will work closely with Human Resources, the Hiring Manager, and the recruiting team to ensure a positive candidate experience while serving as the main point of contact for all permanent recruitment initiatives.  The recruiter has overall accountability for full cycle recruitment: tracking employment requisitions, posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks and closing permanent positions in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Creates Job Requisition and finalizes the job profile.
-Posts and advertises the job, including posting on diversity job boards to support our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives.
-Ensures all job postings are up to date, formatted correctly and accurately reflect the role we are recruiting for.
-Schedules and leads intake call with the Hiring Manager and Talent Sourcer if required to discuss recruiting and interview strategy.
-Develops and sets screening questions with input from the Hiring Manager.
-Review and shortlists resumes, then conducts phone screens with applicants to ensure they meet minimum qualifications and are an organizational fit for EnerSys.
-Provides screened candidates to Hiring Manager for review.
-Coaches Hiring Managers on our internal recruitment processes and practices.
-Discusses any disconnects between supplied candidates and candidates selected for interviews.
-Works closely with the Recruiting Coordinator to arrange and schedule interviews.
-Leads review/wrap up call with interviewers to determine the selected candidate.
-Finalize offer details with the HR Manager and Hiring Manager and initiate offer approval.
-Work closely with the Recruiting Coordinator to create and send offer letters to candidates.   
-Facilitates salary negotiations to obtain the preferred candidate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Advises interviewed but unsuccessful candidates of the outcome. 

-Assists and works with the Talent Sourcer to devise strategies and implement plans to increase the pipeline of talent for current and future business growth.
-Participates and represents EnerSys at hiring events.
-Liaises with the staffing agencies when necessary.
-Administers recruitment metrics such as aging of requisitions, number of underutilized requisitions, number of hires, Time to Hire average, and hiring source. 
-Continue to develop knowledge on latest trends, tools, and best practices to enhance our recruiting strategy. 
-All other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications
-Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in human resources, Industrial Relations or equivalent.
-A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience related to recruitment activities.
-Proficient with using an Applicant Tracking System,
-PHR/SHRM-CP desired but not required.
-Fluency in written and spoken English.
-Fluent proficiency in the French language
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, various job boards and social media

-Knowledge of human resources regulations, state and federal employment law, and relevant administration practices.
-Resourceful, creative problem solver with the ability to tackle challenging sourcing and recruitment issues.
-Demonstrated negotiation skills to successfully attract top talent.
-Strong ability to build trusting professional relationships with all departments and across all levels of the organization.
-Demonstrates a high degree of initiative and is results oriented.
-Proven ability to handle challenging situations in a confidential and diplomatic manner.
