Job Description:The roleWe are actively looking for a commercial lead for the European region to head up the automotive vertical within our contract logistics pillar. This role will lead all of the commercial activity within this vertical to help deliver growth though new customer acquisition as well as developing relationships with existing customers.We have very ambitious growth plans over the next three years which will require expansion of our contract logistics offering and this role is key to this growth. You will be developing the commercial strategy and then working with your team to execute to unlock expansion for this vertical. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, converting, managing the growth opportunities.The Europe region covers everywhere Turkey in the East to Ireland in the West and Sweden to the North to Italy in the South. You will also develop relationships with internal stakeholders within other verticals and pillars as well as global relationships with peers to help deliver global solutions for our customers. The recognition of growth accounts and developing key relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be instrumental in this role.As part of this role you will be working with solutions engineering teams to develop vertical solutions and provide continuous improvement to existing customers. You will understand the future of contract logistics and be part of the leadership team that will be developing and publishing research that will support thought leadership activity. There will be travel involved as you visit customers in their offices as well as attending important events and trade shows.The personSo, who are we looking for?Key skills and experience include:
- Extensive commercial experience within the logistics and supply chain industry. It is important that you can show demonstrable experience in the automotive vertical.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability in the vertical within a company the size of DP World.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage, inspire and motivate a geographically dispersed sales team.
- A strong understanding of the logistics industry including having insights into what the future of the industry looks like.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to use data and insights to inform decision making
- Fantastic stakeholder management skills and the ability to juggle multiple conflicting stakeholder priorities at any one time.
