Key Responsibilities:

As an Operations Manager, your role will encompass a range of critical tasks, including:

– Assessing job requirements based on survey results and efficiently allocating personnel and vehicles.

– Overseeing vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure a fleet in top condition.

– Collaborating closely with the warehouse manager and staff to optimise workflow.

– Managing the removals diary on a daily basis.

– Maintaining comprehensive records of crew tasks, issues, and arrival times.

– Coordinating job costings with the transfer managers.

– Facilitating the use of “third-party” services during UK Removals activities.

– Establishing clear parking suspensions or exemptions as needed.

– Requesting service price comparisons from our partners in the UK Removals industry.

– Developing plans for assigning outside labour when necessary.

Requirements:

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

– Previous experience in Removal Operations Management is highly desirable.

– Hold a complete forklift licence and demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills.

– Exceptional organisational skills to streamline operations efficiently.

– Proficiency in IT to effectively manage data and processes.
