Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is a non-governmental organization, registered in Poland, operating since 1992. PAH’s mission is to make the world a better place by alleviating human suffering and promoting humanitarian values. Our aim is to help the victims of humanitarian crises caused by armed conflicts and natural disasters. We help where help is most needed – we operate all over the world. We provide immediate humanitarian response to a crisis as well as work on long-term development solutions and preventing further catastrophes. We protect the civilian population. We give particularly close attention to the most vulnerable groups: women, children, the elderly, people with disabilities and the internally displaced persons.PAH’s humanitarian and development aid operations are currently conducted in crisis-affected areas in Poland, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Ukraine, Madagascar and Yemen. Our Emergency Response Team follows and responds to sudden humanitarian crises, most recently in Turkey and Morocco. PAH’s expertise is Water, Sanitation and Hygiene but we also implement aid projects in Shelter/NFI, FSL, Protection, Education, Health and other sectors. To ensure the highest quality of the support we provide, we adhere to the SPHERE standards. * Purpose of the ConsultancyPreparation of training package for conducting training for Protection from Sexual Exploitation and abuse (“PSEA”) focal points and providing training for PSEA focal points at PAH Poland. * Objective and deliverables

  • Preparation of training package for conducting training for PSEA focal points and providing training for PSEA focal points at PAH Poland. The training package should include information that would allow the focal points to:
  • Recognize potential indicators of safeguarding violations, including different types of harm, and local safeguarding priorities
  • Understand how safeguarding work is framed in their organization(s), and the location/content of relevant policies
  • Understand their role in organizational safeguarding and how to support associated workplans in their country offices/programs
  • Understand what information to disseminate among staff including through staff training
  • Understand how to develop relevant safeguarding messages for communities
  • Support safeguarding assessments
  • coordinate with other actors to ensure appropriate referral pathways
  • Understand the concept and implementation of community-based feedback mechanisms and response mechanisms.
  • Understand how to receive safeguarding complaints at field level and channel complaints to the appropriate reporting mechanism
  • Be aware of how to document and report barriers to reporting and seek advice/escalate concerns when required.
  • Be aware of data protection issues and guidelines including asking for consent and how to share and manage information
  • Understand and be able to apply the principles of survivor-centred approach, including confidentiality, consent, and how to share information safely
  • Understand how to address immediate safety concerns, including providing information
  • Understand the process of investigations and the duty to report concerns and maintain confidentiality.
  • Provision of one training for PAH Poland focal points based on the prepared materials.
  • CONSULTANCY SERVICE TIMELINE

Timeline: 15.09.2024 – 30.11.2024 * MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Work Experience: Demonstrate at least 5 years of proven work experience with NGOs, including a minimum of 2 years of substantive experience in safeguarding roles, preferably with a focus on capacity building.
  • Educational Background: Hold a university degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Rights, Law, Development Studies, Gender Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Training Materials: Provide examples of previous training agendas and/or materials.
  • References: Submit a minimum of 3 references.
  • Language Proficiency: Demonstrate fluency in English.

  • Qualifications:
  • Experience in safeguarding.
  • Experience in capacity building.
  • Relevant academic qualifications.
  • Additional certifications or diplomas in safeguarding or related areas.
  • Relevance of References: The relevance and quality of the three references provided.
  • Technical Proposal Quality: The overall quality and comprehensiveness of the technical proposal submitted.
