Offer DescriptionThe Department of Architecture is seeking a candidate for the position of research and lecturing assistant in the Department of Architecture Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Landscape, in the scientific discipline of architecture and urban planning. The person hired for this position will be entrusted with research, teaching and organizational work, primarily for the benefit of the Department, but also for the Faculty.Where to apply E-mail[email protected]RequirementsResearch Field Architecture Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsResponsibilities: * Conducting scientific research in the field of history and conservation of architecture and revaluation of cultural landscape.

• Conducting commissioned didactic classes in the field of architecture;
• Cooperation with external entities in the field of scientific and research work carried out;
• Publishing research results and participating in scientific conferences;
• Support in the organization of conferences and other scientific events conducted by the Department;
• Participation in the preparation of applications for research and research and development grants;
• Continuous improvement of professional qualifications;
• Performing work ordered by superiors for the benefit of the Department and the Faculty, related to research and didactic activities.

Specific Requirements

• The competition is open to candidates who meet the conditions specified in the Law of July 20, 2018. – Law on Higher Education and Science and the Statute of Wrocław University of Technology.
• Completed higher education in the field of architecture and urban planning – holding the professional title of Master of Engineering Architect;
• Defended doctoral degree in the discipline of architecture and urban planning or a doctoral thesis in its final stages;
• Holding experience in scientific work, including documented scientific and research achievements in the field of architecture and urban planning – min. 2 publications from the list of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, 100 points each;
• Skill in the use of computer tools to support architectural design;
• Design achievements related to the broadly understood restoration of historical buildings and/or cultural landscape;
• Didactic experience in the field of conservation design;
• Active participation in scientific conferences and workshops;
• Participation in scientific grants;
• Experience in applying for and/or implementing research projects or in the field of innovation patent applications, utility models, etc.;
• Possession of construction entitlements in architectural specialty without limitations;
• Active organizational activity at the university;
• Fluency in Polish and English, both spoken and written, at the C1 level – ability to teach in English;
• Creativity and high personal culture.

• If a competition is won by a person who is employed under an employment relationship with another employer conducting the following activities: research, research and teaching, research and development, implementation (except for cases specified in Article 125(3) of the Act), and the employment is not expired by the date of employment at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology as the primary place of work, this person, in accordance with art. 125 sec. 1 of the Act, taking into account art. 125 sec. 2 of the Act, is obliged to obtain the Rector’s consent for additional employment under an employment relationship with another employer after employing at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. If the competition is won by a person who conducts business activity, the requirement of art. 125 sec. 7 of the Act should be met.
