About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a researcher to join the newly funded NIHR 3 schools-funded QEMISTRY -Dementia (Quantifying and Explaining Mortality Associated with Psychotropic Drug Prescribing in Dementia) study, and carry out a systematic and policy review, describing how and when people with dementia should be prescribed antipsychotic drugs; and how prescribing decisions are made. They will benefit from integration within NIHR Dementia and Neurodegenerative diseases policy research unit in QMUL.
About You
You should be enthusiastically committed to doing research that makes an impact.The post holder will work primarily on the QEMISTRY study but with opportunities to engage with projects across the exciting DeNPRU-QM portfolio, including a national survey of memory services. This is a development role. We will support the successful candidate to explore and meet their training and development needs towards their chosen career, for example through authoring publications, developing other outputs and participating in other Centre activities.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 12 months with an expected start date of June 2024. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £36,572 – £37,182 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
