About the role
The Department of Genetics and Genome Biology are looking to appoint a Research Assistant to provide specialist research support to the Fennell lab. In this varied role you will use molecular biological techniques and bioinformatics towards a research grant funded project. You will carry out analyses, tests and critical evaluations as well as summarise findings, record, and disseminate your findings to the research group.
About you
We are looking for an individual with an Honours degree and/or relevant experience in Molecular Biology and working with mesothelioma. The successful candidate will have previous experience working with cell culture, Western analysis, siRNA, explant culture, treatment and analysis. As well as the above, we are looking for practical experience and knowledge of applying research skills and techniques to deliver outputs on time and to the required quality.
