About the role
As a Research Associate in the Respiratory Science department, you will be working both collaboratively and independently as part of a research team. Your research will involve studying the cellular and molecular mechanisms associated with lung diseases such as asthma, IPF and COPS. You will be using and establishing cellular models in order to uncover novel signalling pathways involved in the pathogenesis of lung diseases.
About you
As a Research Associate, you will have a PhD or equivalent in the field of Cell Biology, or the equivalent professional qualification and experience. You will have good knowledge and experience in Asthma and/or COPD related laboratory-based research as well as evidence of contribution to peer-reviewed journal papers or equivalent. Alongside this, you have experience of training undergraduate and post graduate students and excellent analytical problem skills.
