The Role

This EU funded project will bring together leading researchers, healthcare professionals and industry partners from across several European countries. The main outcome of this project is to design and develop improved technologies to address the ongoing challenges of accurate and early detection of cancer, recurrence and treatment success/failure. You will work closely with PI and Co-PI to deliver on all the work packages contracted to Kingston University.

This role will take us to the end of the project (March 31, 2024) and will include supporting data collection, analysis, manuscript preparation/submission and report writing.

The Person

We are looking for an experienced researcher who can work independently and as part of a team. An undergraduate qualification in a related subject is essential. Experience in healthcare research and its dissemination is desirable. The successful candidate will be working closely with the PI and INCISIVE research associate to deliver the KU contractual work on the INCISVE project .

We have invested heavily in the development of new facilities, with our laboratories providing access to ultra-modern equipment and teaching facilities in areas such as biochemistry, biotechnology, cell and molecular biology, immunology, microbiology, nutrition, pharmacology, sport science (including biomechanics and an environmental testing chamber), chemical synthesis and analysis, pharmaceutics, specialist labs for pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical science and chemistry, a forensic scene-of-crime house and a pharmacy dispensing simulation suite.

This is a part time (29.60 hours per week), fixed term position available for 5 months with a starting salary of £30,116.80 per annum (80% pro rata to £37,646 per annum).
