Research Associate in the modelling & economics of vaccine-preventable diseases

The Division of Population Health in the School of Medicine and Population Health is seeking a creative and self-motivated researcher to join a multidisciplinary project working across the Faculties of Health and Engineering.

The role will involve developing transmission models for a range of infectious diseases and using these to undertake economic evaluations of vaccine programmes. There will also be an emphasis on developing an economic case for investing in manufacturing and supply chain features that improve resiliency and responsiveness.

The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative background and experience in mathematical modelling of infectious diseases. They will also have a good understanding of health economics and ideally experience in conducting economic evaluations.
