Research Development Programmes Administrator

The Programmes team within DREI (Division of Research, Enterprise and Innovation) are looking to appoint a part-time 0.5FTE administrator, to carry out multiple administrative tasks and provide cohesive support to the team. The Programmes Team work closely with other teams within DREI, as well as with academics and professional services colleagues across the University.

This post is part-time (17.5 hours per week, to include at least 1.5 days Tues-Thurs) and fixed term until the end of July 2024.

  • Providing support to relevant colleagues, including diary management, planning and arranging meetings, training and events. Arranging hospitality as required.
  • Managing internal and external communications, including minuting of meetings, email communications and updates.
  • Maintaining shared email inboxes. Responding to queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Preparing non-standard documentation using advanced word processing skills and other relevant software packages, as required.
  • Processing payments, booking travel and other resources as required.
  • Undertaking data entry into, and maintenance of, relevant databases and online tools, spreadsheets, templates and web pages to ensure accurate, up to date information is accessible to those that need it and that GDPR processes are followed.  Flag to senior members of the team any deviations/discrepancies.
  • You have proven administrative experience and excellent planning skills.
  • You have experience of working as part of a team and have a responsive and flexible approach.
  • You have good IT Skills preferably with experience of the Office 365 suite, and the ability to learn to effectively use new systems and software when needed.
  • You are highly organised, with good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • You are keen to work in a team which supports researchers across the University.
