Job Category: Teaching and ResearchJob Description:ABOUT THE ROLEThe Centre for Global Development in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences at Northumbria University is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow to conduct research on voluntary labour in humanitarian and development contexts.The Fellow will contribute to a portfolio of projects as well as the development of new research and projects, as part of the Northumbria Peak of Research Excellence on Volunteering, Humanitarian Crises and Development. This includes contributing to and leading academic publications and outputs and resources for policy and practice audiences and working with a range of research partners and collaborators within and outside academia.The role is fixed term and for 18 months.ABOUT THE TEAMThe Fellow will join Northumbria’s Peak of Research Excellence on . This leading global hub of expertise is part of the , and brings together academics to develop ground-breaking and impactful research, funded by research councils and through collaborations with global humanitarian and development organisations. We are particularly seeking applicants with expertise on knowledge of voluntary and unpaid labour, but also welcome candidates with expertise in related areas that align with our work, including labour geographies, youth geographies, climate change, civil society and activism and humanitarian, peace and conflict research.
