The new appointee will work on a project to isolate and characterize monoclonal antibodies for the treatment or prevention of antibiotic resistant Acinetobacter baumannii infections. The post-holder will join a genomics research team at the LSHTM and infection biology team at the University College London. The post-holder will have an opportunity to contribute to publications in high impact international scientific journals and may have the opportunity to access further professional or academic development through staff development courses, teaching and research.The successful applicant will have a postgraduate degree, ideally a doctoral degree, in the field of biological sciences, and demonstrable skills relevant to the immunology and/or pathogenesis of bacterial infection, proven ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a research team, and proven ability to meet research deadlines. Further particulars are included in the job description.The post is fixed term from 01 March 2025 until 15 November 2026 and full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE. The salary will be on the Academic Pathway salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £44,847 – £50,808 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff.
