About the Role

Applications are sought for a Research Technician to provide technical support to work on targeting arginine auxotrophic cancers in the Szlosarek Group. The research will be based in the Centre for Biomarkers and Biotherapeutics, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. The post holder will support the Research team and assist with obtaining clinical samples for The Personalising Arginine Deprivation For Cancer (PADFC) Project, actively participate in the PADFC and Centre’s Scientific meetings, whilst being mutually supportive and covering duties as necessary during times of additional pressure. 

About You

The postholder must have a BSc or equivalent in a biological or related science. Essential requirements for this post include experience of working in a biomedical research laboratory, as well as knowledge of the arginine deprivation field in cancer. The role involves a wide range of in vitro skills and the ability to perform in vivo work. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.
