About the Role

The RS&H Manager contributes to the achievement of the plant’s CBN (Compelling Business Need). Provides leadership, direction setting and coaching for the plant. Is responsible for the implementation of systems and standards and takes part of their development when needed. Creates an environment for sustainability of results and uses internal and external benchmarks to drive performance improvement. Contributes and supports reapplication of Best Practices.

What You Will Do

  • Being part of the site leadership team and report to the site manager
  • Develop R&SH Site Masterplans, ensuring alignment with Essity overall R&SH Strategy
  • Monitor and manage R&SH legal compliance
  • Ensure R&SH Essity policies, procedures and standards are properly and consistently implemented in the whole site
  • Proactively support the shop floor and the management team with “hands on” mentality
  • Coach and advice leadership teams, constantly challenging the current status
  • Develop skills and competencies in the R&SH area
  • Network with other sites around the globe to ensure best practice sharing and acting upon it
  • Lead & develop the local R&SH team

Who You Are

  • Bachelor or Master degree in R&SH disciplines or equivalent education and/or work experience in a related field
  • Specific qualification on Health and Safety (according to local law and practices)
  • Profound experience as a Health, Safety, professional working within international organizations – ideally in industrial / process industry
  • Experience in leading and engaging people & creating a vision
  • High level of professional and personal integrity, ethics, and role model with the willingness to drive change & engagement
  • Ability to navigate complex-matrix organizations
  • Eagerness to find pragmatic and sustainable solutions & deliver those
