Sales Director – Spain
Hybrid work schedule – office located in Madrid (Alcobendas)
The Sales Director sets the vision and objectives for their assigned sales divisions. Taking ultimate ownership of the client base, they ensure all sales teammates are appropriately trained and motivated to effectively serve Insight’s clients. The Sales Director is also accountable for the strategic direction and performance of all sales activity, within one or more assigned divisions, and for ensuring Insight achieves all of its projected sales growth targets.

-Lead, coach and develop the team to promote teammate satisfaction through mentoring, development, and career planning by creating a high performing team with a strong succession benchmark and enabling career progression.
-Define and implement the strategic aims and objectives for the assigned division to ensure year-on-year sales growth and translate the overall budget into appropriate sales targets for the sales teams.
-Accountable for the execution of the division’s sales strategy and objectives to ensure year-on-year sales growth for technology, solutions and or services and actively participate in key client engagements as a senior sponsor when required.
-As part of the senior leadership team, provide strong and visible direction to ensure teammates are coached and motivated to realise their full potential and able to effectively sell Insight’s offerings to clients.
-Champion a robust and concise sales methodology. Mentor the sales team to ensure the development of an effective pipeline, new business generation and strategic account planning.
-Drive a culture which promotes collaboration cross-functionally and externally to ensure the effective delivery of Insight’s long-term strategic aims and maintain a positive working environment.
-Think strategically and tactically to identify and focus on key growth areas and scalability by overseeing the appropriate redistribution and retention rates, also follow-up all potential business development leads to maximise sales opportunities.
-Ensure accurate forecasting through the regular presentation of quarterly sales targets, also present the sales outlook and results to the management team quarterly.
-Maintain extensive knowledge of the market in which Insight operates to anticipate and proactively pre-empt new trends and challenges and put in place initiatives.
-Recommend and oversee the implementation of processes, systems, organisational changes and or continuous improvements.
-Engage directly with strategic partners, attend partner events and conferences and act as an ‘ambassador’ for the Insight brand.
-Define and leverage client servicing standards to drive sales within key accounts, also provide strategic guidance and input.
-May be responsible for increasing client NPS and or client advocacy.
-Accountable for articulating and aligning the functional strategy in line with that of the business by providing enough tools and resources to teammates to ensure the optimum delivery of the strategy against Insight’s goals.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIEN

Extensive sales experience in Technology/IT, proven account management capabilities in a fast-paced, target driven sales environment
Holds relevant professional qualifications, accreditations and or certifications (such as Sales Methodology or vendor certifications)
Elevated level of written and spoken English
Resilient, tenacious and outcome focussed
Fully conversant with Microsoft Office 365 (such as Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent work experience
Extensive people management experience; experience of creating clear vision and strategy, also acts as a role model whilst demonstrating strong ethics and integrity
Strong networking and interpersonal skills, the ability to exercise diplomacy and build partnerships and consensus within teams and amongst other stakeholders
Ability to prospect and manage executive level relationships including C-Level within all client relationships in a mature, credible manner
Experience of working within a globally diverse environment, showing an understanding of and keen interest in equality, diversity and inclusion
Proven record of achieving sales growth and delivery of results to business plans through a high-level of complex financial understanding
Demonstrates extensive expertise of having operated at a strategic level, strong track record of successfully delivering financial savings
Knowledge of designing and measuring work processes and delivering the highest possible standard of products and services
Holds relevant professional Project
Management qualification, accreditation and or certification (such as PRINCE2, PMI)
Extensive client facing sales experience, ability to win client confidence, manage executive level stakeholders and demonstrate commitment
Strong ability to deal with ambiguity effectively and a high level of resilience when dealing with setbacks and challenges
Strong commercial outlook, ability to interpret and translate financial and or business performance data into strategic and or tactical initiatives to maximise sales
Demonstrates a high level of problem solving and analytical skills, and experience of championing change management and continuous improvement
