We are looking for a talented Sales Manager to join our team specializing in Defense Sales for Meritor Industrial Products in France, Saint-Etienne
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Driving Profitable Growth: By leading and executing strategic sales initiatives, you will consistently deliver revenue and profit growth, offering customers valued Cummins solutions.
- Driving revenue growth by identifying new targeted and creditable business opportunities
- Strategic Sales Leadership: You will suggest and execute sales strategies at your customers, aligning objectives and ensuring resource allocation for maximum impact.
- Enhancing Customer Relationships: By maintaining regular, high-quality interactions with key customer management, you will build long-term, trusted relationships, aligning Cummins solutions with customer needs.
- Driving Sales Accountability: responsible for achieving goals and ensuring that execution aligns with the overall sales strategy and business objectives
- Championing voice of customers, you will advocate for their needs and feedback within the business, driving improvements and customer satisfaction
- Continuous Process Improvement: Through identifying issues and opportunities within sales functions, you will suggest and implement process improvements that drive greater operational effectiveness.
- Fostering a Safety-First Culture: You will ensure the salesforce operates safely, embedding Cummins’ Culture of Safety across the organization, helping to protect employees and enhance productivity.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong Business Acumen and Technical Expertise: You need a solid understanding of both the business side and technical aspects of the automotive industry, particularly in defense Land Systems platforms, to identify, pursue, and secure new opportunities.
- Strategic Account Management: You must be able to develop and execute account strategies, aligning customer needs with business capabilities, while proactively managing your sales pipeline and forecasting future trends.
- Value Proposition Articulation: You will need to clearly explain the unique value of Cummins’ products and solutions to different stakeholders, adapting complex technical details to suit various audiences and differentiate Cummins from the competition.
- Additionally, having strong analytical and reporting skills, leadership qualities, and an adaptive, open-minded approach will further enhance your success in this role.
Education/ Experience:
- University or college degree in the field of Engineering, Sales or Marketing with an MBA preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Significant level of relevant work experience required. Experience as a sales representative desirable. Experience in strategy, customer management/budget holding, product, technical roles, and/or CRM systems and tools is required .
- Bilingual Communication Skills: Fluency in both French and English is crucial for effectively engaging with customers across the Middle East, North Africa, and South Europe, tailoring your approach to their specific needs and building lasting relationships.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
