SAPEarthstream are currently looking for a ‘Senior Authorised Person’ to assist a Datacentre construction project. You will be responsible for overseeing all high-voltage electrical systems and ensuring the safety of electrical installations, maintenance, and operations during the construction and commissioning phases of a Data Centre project. This role is critical in managing and directing electrical operations, ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and electrical standards, and ensuring the safe commissioning of electrical systemsKey responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Provide technical guidance and advice on electrical safety, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NEC) and local regulations
• Oversee and ensure appropriate coordination between the electrical teams, contractors, and other workers on-site
• Liaise with other departments (e.g., construction, mechanical, and health & safety teams) to ensure coordinated execution of work.
• Conduct regular safety briefings and toolbox talks to ensure the team is up-to-date on safety requirements and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international electrical standards, including safety regulations.
• Produce detailed reports and documentation for the client, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities when required.
• Ensure all electrical work is carried out following the correct procedures, with safety protocols strictly adhered to

Requirements (but not limited to):

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Relevant electrical qualifications
• Senior Authorised Person (SAP) certification or equivalent
• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in electrical safety management and high-voltage systems within data centre, industrial, or construction environments
• Strong understanding of electrical design, installation, testing, and commissioning processes in a critical infrastructure environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, safety protocols, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
