Job Description:Our partner is a a Hungarian company striving for innovative IT solutions. Their development team, part of an international development team, has expanded significantly, so if the following tasks sound interesting, please apply!

• Work in an agile manner with the global team
• Understand their powerful graph-calculation framework and develop innovative solutions within that framework in Scala
• Identify and implement performance and efficiency improvements in their calculations
• Develop tools to automate and simplify existing desk workflows
• Participate in all stages of the lifecycle of an IT system ranging from gathering the requirement and refining user stories, designing solutions, implementing and supporting them, mostly in Scala
• Apply your strong technical skills on one of the largest Scala projects in the world, applying graph programming paradigms
• Work on highly visible, technically challenging projects involving teams from multiple departments
• Analyse business problems and determine appropriate solutions
• Produce automated tests
• Collaborate with other developers to solve problems

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in any relevant field of IT/Engineering/Maths/Sciences
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and computer science
• Understanding of or personal interest in Functional Programming paradigm and Scala language
• Excellent software development abilities – our partner develop in Scala (Java)
• Prior experience in working with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, working with PR-s, using JIRA, following the Scrum Agile methodology is an advantage
• Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
• Proactive approach to improving software and processes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• A good command of English
• Strong communication skills

Advantages

• Prior experience in developing data or computation intensive (e.g. grid based) backend applications
• Prior experience with cloud computing
• Prior knowledge of financial products
