Job Description:We are seeking a scientific group leader with extensive experience within industrial biocatalysis. This includes a documented record for work within discovery, design, engineering, characterization, and/or application of industrial enzymes. We expect a level of experience which corresponds to several years of post doc work with significant independence within e.g. selection of methods, scientific writing, and prioritization of research questions. In addition to being responsible for your own research activities, you will be engaged in the supervision of graduate students, organization of the laboratory and contacts to external collaborators. Most of the planned work will be conducted in collaboration with industrial partners, and candidates with comprehensive and successful experience in university-industry collaboration will be preferred. It would also be an advantage if you have previous experience with carbon capture and conversion.The key work fields in the research group are

  • Protein chemistry
  • Enzyme assay development
  • Enzyme kinetics and kinetic modelling
  • Heterologous gene expression
  • Protein engineering and -purification
  • Rapid screening of enzyme function
  • Enzyme structure-function relationships
  • Student guidance
  • Project leadership

We expect that you have a PhD in a relevant area and previous experience with research project leadership within several of the areas listed under the bullets above.We offer
