Job description
For our Client, a global legal services firm with an office in the centre of Warsaw, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Senior Accountant / Independent Accountant.Responsibilities:
- preparing monthly and annual tax declarations (including VAT, WHT),
- supporting month-end and year-end closing in both corporate and statutory ledgers,
- managing daily cooperation with banks and overseeing financial transactions,
- performing bookkeeping in the local accounting system,
- processing corporate credit card transactions and monitoring cash flow,
- handling intercompany payments and reconciling partners’ remuneration,
- preparing statutory reports for the National Bank of Poland,
- participating in both local and global finance optimization projects.
Requirements:
- university degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics,
- min. 5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or tax,
- strong working knowledge of Polish tax regulations, particularly VAT and WHT,
- proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel,
- good command of English,
- analytical mindset and ability to identify opportunities for process improvement,
