Job description
Handle accounting for multiple EMEA entities under US GAAP, which includes:
- Managing accounting for international sales and clinical activities (revenue, costs, receivables).
- Ensuring accuracy and completeness of the General Ledger (preparing journal entries and account analyses).
Oversee the monthly financial closing process:
- Follow month-end control checklist to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Review journal entries, reconcile account balances, and prepare reports.
Coordinate accounting activities with third-party service providers in Europe.Manage accurate and timely accounting and settlement of all intercompany transactions.Work with external services for VAT, direct taxes, and other local reports.Help gather information for tax return preparation.Assist in preparing statutory accounts under local GAAP for various EMEA entities.Support the implementation and testing of SAP S/4HANA changes.Collaborate with different teams to meet all financial reporting deadlines.Participate in developing and updating accounting policies, procedures, and strategies, including process and system improvements.Support SOX compliance and oversee control audits.Work flexibly, starting remotely with later office visits twice a month.|Become a part of newly creating team for EMEA.
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
- Has 5 years of experience in multinational finance, ideally in healthcare or medical devices.
- Willing to handle daily accounting tasks and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Possesses strong knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP.
- Experienced in using SAP.
- Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity, important for working with outsourced services and teams in the US and Europe.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Proficient in SAP, Excel, Power BI, Concur, Workday, and group reporting tools like BPC or Hyperion.
