As the Senior Advisor – Research & Innovation in our Innovation team, you will shape the future of the wind industry and lead on advocating for the future of wind energy research and innovation funding. All whilst making a meaningful impact on the future of the European wind industry.WindEurope is the voice of the wind industry, actively promoting wind energy across Europe. We represent over 600 members from across the whole value chain of wind energy, including wind turbine manufacturers, component suppliers, power utilities and wind farm developers, financial institutions, research institutes and national wind energy associations. All of this supported by a secretariat of 85 professionals based in Brussels.Main duties and responsibilities:
- Devise and lead the advocacy plan to mobilise EU and national policymakers to set up a European Fund for Wind Research and Competitiveness in the next EU budget cycle (competitiveness fund, FP10…);
- Provide timely intelligence on EU funding policies and instruments for research and competitiveness;
- Enable WindEurope members to proactively contribute to WindEurope advocacy campaigns;
- Contribute to WindEurope’s best-in class reputation through impactful policymaker outreach, member coordination and ensuring internal alignment.

Experience
- Master’s degree in European policy and/or relevant degree;
- At least 4 years of professional experience in EU affairs, energy policy or renewable energy;
- Experience with design of EU research policy and/or Multi-annual Financial Frameworks is a plus.
Software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word);
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or any other CRM tool is a plus.
Languages
- Excellent level of English (written and spoken);
- All other languages are a plus.
