Our partner is a global market leader in the manufacturing and distribution of truck and commercial vehicle parts, with a particular focus on towing systems. They operate as an innovation hub, applying the latest technological advancements in the field of sustainable transportation solutions.

  • Oversee and enhance the Global IT application portfolio, focusing on effective lifecycle management, including operations, change, and support.
  • Collaborate closely with both national and international business departments to ensure that application requirements are well aligned.
  • Lead the coordination of supplier selection processes, utilizing structured evaluation methodologies and criteria such as IT security and architectural compatibility.
  • Engage in application-related projects, from initial implementation to development, and effectively manage these projects as the project manager.
  • Assess requests within the global change request and demand management framework to ensure proper evaluation.
  • Establish and uphold policies and guidelines for application management across the organization.
  • Oversee the management of external partners in the operation and development of application services.

Requirements

  • A degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • A solid track record of several years in an IT role, ideally as an application specialist.
  • Familiarity with IT service management practices based on ITIL.
  • Experience working with common database systems, such as MS SQL Server.
  • Programming experience is a valuable asset.
  • Proficiency in waterfall and agile development/project management methodologies.
  • A background in managing relationships with external partners.
  • Understanding of business processes and applications pertinent to the role.
  • Purchase management experience is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
