Job Description:The DivisionThe Group Digital Capabilities (GDC) division ensures Euroclear’s competitiveness by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets.The TribeThe Straight-Through-Processing tribe contributes to the division strategy in delivering and supporting through agile practices cost-effective time-to-market solutions for the domain of STP communication flows (transactional flows, information flows, reporting, CRM).We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join the STP “Use the Product” Squad, which offers the opportunity to support the delivery of initiatives across the Organisation that impact our Communication layer – meaning, most of them!The Business Analyst plays a key role in the IT delivery process, acting as a liaison between IT development teams and the business units or other delivery Tribes for the implementation of new functionalities:
- Fostering effective relationships with business stakeholders, groups of users or colleagues in other Tribes collaborating to the same initiatives
- Developing domain specific business knowledge, acting as the main point of contact for business support and understanding the business drivers behind operational, functional, tactical or strategic initiatives/changes.
- Leading the requirements analysis, evaluating business functional and non-functional requirements against existing or to-be asserts, translating business need into structured requirements and recommending appropriate alternatives and/or enhancements to current business solutions and systems
- Documenting business requirements in a structured form in line with the current Methodykia guidelines
- Validating the functional designs derived from own business analysis
- Preparing communications and making business presentations on business solutions and system enhancements
- Providing support to business stakeholders up to and including the roll out phase
- Supporting the Product Owner in Product Backlog Items (PBIs) writing and prioritisation
- Clarifying PBI’s until “Ready” state is achieved
In the UTP context, the Business Analyst is the point of entry for all initiatives across the Organisation that impact the STP Communication, assessing the impact of those initiatives on the STP Suite, in close collaboration with our Feature Delivery Owner and our Solution Architect. He/she either define the configuration changes necessary for the STP suite to cater for new flows/services, or will drive the requirements for the upgrade of the STP suite, to be delivered by the relevant Asset teams in the STP DomainQualifications and skills
- Proven experience in Business Analysis (requirement elicitation and business analysis techniques) with exposure to Agile methodologies; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the company business operations, and of the communication domain specifically, as well as of the IT implementation process overall
- Strong analytical skills, combined with ability to drive, challenge, document and present requirements. Negotiation skills, demonstrated ability to influence team and key stakeholders
- Autonomous and proactive, able to estimate own workload and manage own tasks and milestones
- Adaptable, able to function in a rapidly changing environment, willing to constantly evolve and improve processes
- A team player interested in creating a « win-win » situation with and being close to internal & external clients
