Senior Business Partner – Human Resources£49,227 – £54,44135 hours per week (This is a full-time opportunity but reduced hours can be considered)PermanentDundeeAbout the roleDue to an internal promotion, a vacancy has arisen within our HR team. We are a small team comprising of a Head of Human Resources, this post and an HR Adviser. We work closely with the Care Inspectorate and have a shared services arrangement for Recruitment and Payroll services.Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will be responsible for managing and delivering on a broad range of HR work across the SSSC. You will partner with managers and staff to help and develop the SSSC as a great place to work.You will provide visible leadership, management and vision and build strong, sustainable relationships with senior managers and employees. This role will also be required to deputise for the Head of Human Resources as and when required.Who we areWe are the independent regulator for the social work, social care and children and young people workforce in Scotland. Where people fall below the standards of practice and conduct, we can investigate and take action.What you need to succeedYou will have significant experience in managing HR operational work including retention, training design and delivery, handling complex employee relations and management of change. You will also have demonstratable experience of developing, implementing and managing customer focused improvements, managing multiple projects and developing policies and procedures. You will be comfortable partnering with senior management and guiding them through complex projects.You will be educated to (eg a degree in a relevant subject) or have equivalent experience and be a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). It is essential that you have excellent communication skills and can influence others. You will have the ability to foster good working relations both internally and externally and will work closely with our trade union partner (Unison).Why work for usWe are an ambitious, enthusiastic and supportive organisation.
