SUMMARY: 

At SAP, we integrate AI technology with extensive industry-specific data and deep process knowledge to create innovative AI capabilities for all SAP applications. Large Language Models (LLMs) hold immense potential to change the way we work and develop products. They are reshaping the landscape of Machine Learning across various domains. SAP Business AI is responsible for designing central frameworks and cloud services such as Joule, Generative AI Hub, AI Core, and Document Information Extraction as the AI foundation for embedded AI throughout our portfolio in addition to our efforts towards SAP’s foundation models, both our own tabular business models and building on top of partner LLMs, and generative AI technologies. 

WHAT YOU`LL DO:

As a software engineer, you will design and develop innovative applications and services on our Corporate Data Platforms, to help our AI products getting the most value from Data. We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated developer with a strong background in JavaScript, Node.js, and cloud technologies, who emphasize close collaboration, open communication, and feedback in a team that values trust, respect, and diversity.

Your main area will be around application, backend services and API to orchestrate data persistency, data ingestion & processing, and data cataloguing and exploration services.

THE ROLE:

As a Senior Developer, you will:

-Develop and maintain high scalable cloud solutions on top of SAP Business Technology Platform.
-Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards (including CI/CD).
-Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
 

WHAT YOU BRING:

-Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business informatics, computer science, engineering or related technical fields ( 2-3 years of experience in the field will be a plus).
-Application/services/API development skills in Cloud environment.
-Good knowledge of common technology patterns (REST, event-driven, etc.), JavaScript libraries and frameworks (e.g., Angular, Vue.js, React, Node.js).
Advantage:

-Agile Methodologies, e.g. SAFe.
-Experience with CAP (Cloud Application Programming), SAP UI5 or BTP Workflow is a plus.
-Practical knowledge of DevOps methodologies and tools (eg GitHub, Jenkins).
-Curiosity, creativity, and a drive to explore new AI frontiers.
